AhlulBayt News Agency: The United States announced sanctions on Monday targeting three vessels and their owners for delivering oil and gas products to Yemen's Ansarallah Movement, according to Reuters.
The sanctions were imposed on Marshall Islands-registered Zaas Shipping & Trading Co and Great Success Shipping Co, as well as Mauritius-registered Bagsak Shipping Co, along with their cargo vessels. These ships were reportedly used to transport oil and gas products to the Houthi-controlled port of Ras Isa, the US Treasury Department said in a statement.
The statement highlighted that two of the sanctioned companies are registered in the Marshall Islands, while the third is based in Mauritius. The vessels linked to these companies were allegedly involved in delivering energy products to Ansarallah-controlled areas.
Yemeni forces have been targeting ships associated with the Israeli regime in the Red Sea as an act of solidarity with Palestinians.
